global vision
Jesus tells us to take the gospel out to the ends of the earth, starting on our doorstep. Everything we do is geared towards sharing the good news with Bramcote and the surrounding area (more info here).
But to help us stay a part of what God is doing around the world, we support a number of outside agencies and individuals who are seeking to impact the world for Jesus . We pray for these people week by week and are committed to giving away a chunk of our financial resources to them as part of our annual budget.
At the moment the people we support are:
Andrew & Anna Beckham
Andrew and Anna are members at Emmanuel who are currently living in South Sudan, sharing the good news about Jesus with the Laarim people. Emmanuel has sent them out in partnership with AIM international (see below). You can find out more about the Beckhams and the Laarim on the AIM website here.
Andrew & Bethanie Walker
Bethanie used to be a member at Emmanuel and now the pair of them are missionaries in Argentina with the mission agency Crosslinks.
Find more information about them at the Crosslinks site here.
Pao da Vida
Pao da Vida (‘Bread of Life’) is a residential project caring for children aged between 7 and 17 who have been abandoned or are at risk on the streets of Igarassu in Brazil and the surrounding cities. The project offers the children restoration and a new hope in Jesus Christ within a family structure. A few members of Emmanuel have spent time out in Brazil working with them.
Find more information about Pao da Vida at their website here.
Friends International
Friends International aims to equip and envision churches & volunteers to befriend and assist international students as a clear expression of Christ’s love. Rachel Chard, a member at Emmanuel, is a Staff Worker for FI and together with her colleague Liz Middleton, they work strategically to grow the work in Nottingham while also spending a great deal of time with international students themselves. Members of Emmanuel are also involved in the Globe Cafes or are hosts in the Visit a Local Home Hospitality Scheme.

AIM International
Africa Inland Mission is an evangelical, interdenominational organisation with the goal of seeing Christ-centred churches among all African peoples. They have 930 people working in over 20 countries in Africa. They also work with African populations in the UK and Europe as well. Andrew Chard, the European Director of AIM is a member of our church.

Short-Term Missions
We also love to support and send members of our congregation out on short-term missions, both in the UK and around the world.
